A downloadable mod

(04/Jul/2022) New Update Released:

A new post-jam version that adds a lot of fixes, improvements, rebalances, 2 new levels, and compatibility for all emulators plus console/everdrive is now available

Help Princess Peach to become the best pastry chef in the kingdom!

Surpass cooking-based time attack levels and make the largest amount of toads happy (or unhappy) with your bakery.

As you may notice this mod is heavily influenced by Overcooked.

Installation:

1. Go to Hack64 Web Patcher or use an IPS Patcher (like Lunar)

2. Patch a Paper Mario (U).z64 ROM file with the .bps file from this project

3. To be able to play the mod you can use any N64 emulator, just remember to set the RAM to 8MB (if necessary) and Disable Register Caching (only PJ64) in the game settings.

This project was submitted to the Paper Mario Modding Jam, and was made in 3 weeks.

Note:

This is a Paper Mario (N64) rom hack, you need to legitimately own a Paper Mario (U).z64 rom, it needs to be an American one and in .z64 format, for you to be able to patch it.

This mod is not console compatible.

This mod was made with Star Rod 0.5.2

I was playing this on console with the SummerCart64, quit from the menu after the 4th level, and it went to a black screen. Same thing when I try to reload the save now, black screen. The only reason I can think of is that maybe it's loading too much text for the Levels list to handle.

Was able to use the save file still on emulator so whatever. Just wanted to report this bug, maybe it's easy to fix!

Awesome. This looks like an incredible hack. Will try it with my Everdrive.
